Duo ID Auto-Approve Settings - September 22, 2026​

The Card Template and Mobile Credential Template editing guides now document Duo ID Auto-Approve, a setting that previously had no page of its own even though it has existed on Mobile Credential Templates for some time.

  • Editing Card Templates — Adds a "Duo ID Auto-Approve Settings" subsection to the Approvals tab reference, alongside the existing Approval settings and Duo ID Approval Routing sections. Covers what the setting does, the direct-checkout requirement, the System Admin restriction, how it interacts with Duo ID Approval Routing when both are set, and a caution on picking an approver whose role isn't subject to the Tenant's checkout-flow Role Exceptions.
  • Editing Templates — Adds the equivalent "Duo ID Auto-Approve" section, closing the same documentation gap for Mobile Credential Templates, including the same notes on Duo ID Approval Routing interaction and choosing the approver carefully.
