Mobile Credential Templates

Overview​

Mobile Credential Templates are reusable configurations that define how mobile ID Credentials are provisioned and synchronized. A template bundles provider settings, sync behavior, notification preferences, and other settings into a single configuration that you can apply to multiple Credentials.

When you issue a Credential from a template, it automatically follows all the rules and settings defined in that template. This means you can set up your mobile ID provider connection, sync schedule, and other settings once, then reuse them for every Credential issued from that template.

What a template contains​

A Mobile Credential Template includes:

  • Provider settings — Connection details for your mobile ID provider (such as STid Mobile ID)
  • Sync configuration — How and when Credentials synchronize with the provider
  • Number ranges — Rules for generating Credential identifiers
  • Notification settings — Who receives alerts when issues occur
  • Card layouts — Optional visual templates for Credential previews

Who can create templates​

To create or manage Mobile Credential Templates, you need one of the roles listed above.

How it works​

When you create a Credential using a template, Breeze automatically applies all the template's settings. The template also handles synchronization with your mobile ID provider, keeping Credential status and data up to date automatically.

You can create multiple templates for different use cases—for example, separate templates for different departments or locations, each with its own provider settings and sync schedule.
