What are Card Templates?
Card Templates are reusable configurations that define how physical Credential cards are produced. Instead of configuring settings for each card individually, you can create a template once with all your preferred settings—including card layouts, encoding settings, approval workflows, and production configurations—then apply it to multiple Credentials.
Key Benefits:
- Consistency: Ensure all cards follow the same design and configuration standards
- Efficiency: Set up complex settings once and reuse them across multiple cards
- Time Savings: Reduce manual configuration work when creating new Credentials
- Standardization: Maintain consistent settings across departments, locations, or use cases
Key Features
Card Templates include configuration for:
- Production Elements: Card layouts (front and back), carrier selection, field settings, and general production settings
- Encoding and Ranges: RFID encoding configuration and number range assignments
- Approvals: Approval workflow settings and Duo ID approval routing
- Information: Template metadata, descriptions, and instructions
- Access Control: Access right configurations for card-based access control
- Advanced: Additional advanced configuration options
